Our Story

We started The Good Rest Co. because of a very fluffy, very stubborn dog who refused every bed we bought — choosing the cold bathroom tile instead, every single summer night.

It turns out, it wasn't stubbornness at all. Soft beds trap heat, so on a warm day, the floor really is the only cool spot in the house. We looked for a mat that was both soft and cool, and came up empty — just gel pads that warmed up too fast, or beds that made the problem worse.

So we found one that actually gets it right: a breathable, cool-to-the-touch mat with a cuddly pillow, no gel, no fuss — the thing we wish we'd had from the start.
